| Anonymous visitor | A public website reader who does not sign in. |
| Ansible | Infrastructure provisioning and deployment automation. |
| API | Application programming interface, the contract between software systems. |
| APK | Android application package, an installable Android build. |
| Chapter | A named recorded segment of an LT Work. |
| Cloudflare Pages | The hosting platform used by the public website. |
| Cloudflare R2 | Object storage for finished media. |
| CMS | Content management system, such as Strapi or Pages CMS. |
| Connection | A coordinator-to-researcher relationship with its own states. |
| Coordinator | An institutional persona managing researchers and creating works on their behalf. |
| Coordinator group | A shared coordinator acting context. |
| CSV | Comma-separated values, a tabular import and export format. |
| Digital Object Identifier (DOI) | A permanent citation identifier; video minting is not integrated. |
| DNS | Domain Name System, which maps hostnames to services. |
| EAS | Expo Application Services, used for mobile builds and distribution. |
| Editor | A Strapi content-management persona, separate from Core roles. |
| Expert Video | Public-help name for a three-chapter profile introduction; mapping to Publication Plus conflicts with the help source. |
| Filament | The framework behind the Core admin panel. |
| File upload | Core metadata and control record for an uploaded object. |
| GHCR | GitHub Container Registry, which stores deployment images. |
| Hetzner Object Storage | Storage used for raw uploads, covers and avatars. |
| Hugo | The static-site generator used by lt-web. |
| Institution | An organization associated with researchers or coordinators. |
| Latest Thinking | The research-video product and client organization. |
| LT Player | The configurable web video player package. |
| LT Work | The central record connecting a video workflow, subject and lifecycle. |
| MCP | Model Context Protocol, exposed by Core for agent integrations. |
| Media Processing Engine (MPE) | The service that transforms recorded takes into finished media. |
| Meilisearch | The search engine supporting public content search. |
| OAuth | Authorization flow used to link and sign in with an ORCID account. |
| OpenAlex | The scholarly database used to find source papers and institutions. |
| ORCID iD | A persistent researcher identifier; profile claims and OAuth proof are distinct. |
| OTP | One-time password or code delivered by email for authentication. |
| Pages CMS | The content-editing interface used by the public help site. |
| Poster | The still image representing a playable Video. |
| PostgreSQL | Relational database used by core and Strapi. |
| Processing run | One saved media-processing attempt and its result. |
| Profile Video | An app-created introduction to a researcher, without source papers or DOI eligibility. |
| Project | A domain grouping associated with researchers. |
| Publication | An app-created research video with three chapters and one to five source papers. |
| Publication Plus | An editorial research video with five chapters and one source paper. |
| Redis | The shared service supporting backend queue and cache operations. |
| Rendition | A playable media version produced by processing. |
| Researcher | The subject of research content and a primary application persona. |
| Researcher draft | A coordinator-created record for a person without an account. |
| Researcher page | A public page gathering a researcher’s LT content. |
| Sanctum | Laravel authentication used for bearer-token API access. |
| Source publication | An OpenAlex paper linked as the subject matter of an LT Work. |
| Status | A major workflow group and a derived minor state. |
| Strapi | The CMS holding public and editorial content. |
| Subtitle | Timed text associated with a Video. |
| Superseded Video | A retained historical output replaced as the current Video. |
| Terraform | Infrastructure-as-code tool used for Hetzner resources. |
| TestFlight | The distribution route for the staging iOS app. |
| Video | The playable output projected from processing, distinct from the LT Work. |
| Video Publication | The public-help and Core display name for Publication. |
| VitePress | The static documentation framework used by this site. |
| VM | Virtual machine, an isolated server instance. |
| Welink | The software vendor delivering the LT system. |
| welink-dev-services | The shared local-development services workspace. |

Coordinator's institutional definition remains candidate knowledge. The Expert Video mapping needs client confirmation. DOI minting and automatic downstream delivery remain gaps. These qualifications are collected in Open questions.
